The founding hire. You verify figures against primary sources, write plain-language explanations, run the chart engine, and own release-day sprints. Strong with spreadsheets; better with sentences. Role opens as founding-year funding lands.
Contributing analysts
Economists, statisticians, and journalists who can turn a release into a verified figure. Paid per published figure; pitch us a domain from the taxonomy — health, agriculture, and elections need owners.
Data verifiers
Second-check figures against their sources before publication. A few hours a week, real editorial credit, and the best data-literacy training there is: checking numbers that go public.
Board members
Governance, not editorial: finance, law, fundraising, and audit experience wanted. The board approves standards and budgets — never individual figures.
